History of Clairemont High School

Clairemont High has a long and proud history full of lively students and active faculty and staff. The archives team with great moments, programs and news coverage. Some of the moments in the spotlight were more lively then others, such as serving as the unauthorized and much-fictionalized setting for a Hollywood teen movie.

Many monuments to our educational excellence stand proud today. Our astronomy observatory continues to excite the minds of students. Our gardens continue to serve as hands-on learning for our science classes. Our grounds and buildings continue to feature the many student-made art and murals to beautify the school day for current generations of students. The monument to our young men lost to the Vietnam War still stands proud in the quad.

Among our proudest monuments to history is our Museum of the American Presidency, filled with thousands of pieces of authentic memorabilia from more than 20 presidents amassed by teacher Jim Fletcher. Our students can literally touch the past while preparing for the future.
