Summer School

Purpose of Summer School:

Summer school is a remediation/recovery option for students who earned a D/F grade in available courses (A-G courses), from Quarter 1-4.

Summer school could also offer courses for ADVANCEMENT to get ahead in subjects such as math or world language.

Enrollment: Students may visit their school's counselor for guidance and enrollment.

*Clairemont has an online registration system open for all students (not just Clairemont High Students).

Enrollment Options: See below for flyer and registration links.

In person: Clairemont High will be hosting summer school on our campus. In-Person is ONLY for Recovery.

  • Students can recover a maximum of 4 available courses in person
  • If there is an online option - maximum of 2 available courses
  • Session Dates- See flyer below

SDUSD does not allow students who are receiving a remediated credit to miss more than 2 days.  Because the summer program is condensed, seat time is critical and absences beyond two days are not allowed or permitted.

Summer School Staff differs than regular school year staff. Please reach out to the school site to direct you to the right person with your question/concern.
